1/24th scale R/C racing @ Slane Street Speedway in Minersville, PA 5/8/07
The racing at Slane Street Speedway this past Tuesday night was "tighter" than ever. Last minute sponsorship came in from the NFPA, (National Fudge Packing Associates), located on the Hershey Highway, in nearby Hershey, Pa. Squeezing out the win at the last minute, was Elmer Kramer, from Minersville, Pa. Pottsville native John Mills came home second, and bringing up the rear was Mark Krammes, from Schuylkill Haven, Pa.. As seen in the pictures below, Mark Krammes, (in the green car) had a VERY rough night, as he always seemed to be in the wrong place at the right time. Keeping with the theme of our sponsors, the winner shared his prize, which was a huge vanilla cake, stuffed with fudge, right up the middle. Racing continues next Tuesday evening with sponsorship coming from DQ, Dairy Queen, of Pottsville, Pa. The racing will feature a 100 lap "Big Block" race, dubbed the "Whos your Daddy Now 100". Slane Street Speedway is located in the Teaberry Hill Section of beautiful Minersville Pa., featuring 1/25th scale R/C racing every Tuesday night. Interested parties can contact track owner/operator/promoter Elmer Kramer anytime for details, rules, etc. at kramers21@comcast.net.
