Before The First Green Flag Flies Comes Miller Time On The Syracuse Mile

By DIRT MotorSports PR

WEEDSPORT, N.Y. (September 29) – Super DIRT Week makes headlines at the New York State Fairgrounds for the 34th consecutive year on Oct. 4-9. The 2005 edition of the richest DIRT NorthEast Modified track event marks the 10th straight autumn that the Miller family has anchored the Eckerd 200 pre-race activity.

After accompanying her older sister, Deven, on the podium for four straight years, Chelsea Miller will repeat her solo performance at the New York State Fairgrounds by singing our national anthem during SDW XXXIV.

Despite her young age, Chelsea carries years of experience that afford her veteran status in the entertainment world. Born in Reading, Pa. and currently residing in Langhorne, Pa., she has compiled a resume matched by few.

Aside from entering numerous local and regional singing competitions along with making select trackside appearances, Chelsea, now 17, initially appeared publicly on the Al Alberts Showcase TV program at the age of three. She performed on stage in Philadelphia with Carley Simon in Concert four years later and first accompanied Deven to Super DIRT Week in 1998.

Chelsea has given solo performances of the National Anthem at the Thunder on the Hill Series events, DIRT MotorSports events held at Bridgeport (N.J.) Speedway as well as this year's DIRT show and 'Freedom 76' race at Grandview (Pa.) Speedway.

More recently, Chelsea has been performing in musicals at regional professional theatres and high school productions. One of her favorite shows for song and dance has been "Footloose," in which she played the leading lady.

Last year Chelsea released her first CD with two original singles entitled "Melt" and "Hold Me." By the time the first green flag waved to open Super DIRT Week '04, "Close To My Heart" and "Just Tell Me Everything" were hot off the release on a second CD.

Be sure to look for Chelsea Miller in the NYS Fairgrounds infield on Saturday and Sunday of Super DIRT Week and pick up her new sounds. Then listen to her LIVE as she honors America with the singing of our national anthem prior to the weekend events.
