MOTORSPORTS 2007 WILL LIKELY HAVE A NEW
HOME FOLLOWING ANNOUNCED SALE OF FORT WASHINGTON EXPO CENTER; UPCOMING
MID-ATLANTIC ROD AND CUSTOM CAR SHOW STILL SET FOR EXPO CENTER
TRENTON, NJ February 6, 2006 - The popular Motorsports 2007 show will likely
have a new home following the announced sale of the Fort Washington (Pa.) Expo
Center.
Local newspapers and television stations carried news on Feb. 3 that the Fort
Washington Expo Center, which has hosted the Len Sammons Productions-organized
Motorsports show since 1995, is being sold and will be converted into office
space. Plans indicate that the Expo Center, a very popular trade show site,
could be closed to "show business" by June 2006.
"The news came as quite a shock," said Len Sammons, who founded the company
which carries his name. "We had no idea the Fort Washington Expo Center was even
for sale.
"However, we have been able to act quickly and we are confident that we will
have a new location for our Motorsports 2007 show in the very near future."
Sammons's Motorsports show, dedicated to just about everything imaginable in the
motorsports industry, is annually one of the largest shows presented at the huge
Expo Center. His recent Motorsports 2006 presented by VP Racing Fuels show
attracted more than 40,000 people during its three-day run and filled virtually
all of the 270,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space available at the Fort Washington
Expo Center.
Len Sammons Productions also organizes the Mid-Atlantic Rod and Custom Car Show,
which is scheduled for its first annual edition March 31-April 2 at the Expo
Center. Plans are moving forward with that show and all indications are that it
will be a huge success, with more than 300 cars on display and a long list of
celebrities appearing during the three-day event.
While making final preparations for the show, Sammons and his staff will now
also be working to find new sites for the 2007 Motorsports and Mid-Atlantic Rod
and Custom shows. In fact, Sammons has already been contacted by other
Expo/Convention centers within a reasonable driving distance of Fort
Washington's suburban Philadelphia location.
In addition, Fort Washington Expo Center general manager Ken Safarowic, who
oversees 11 large trade shows held at the building, is working with the
Montgomery County Industrial Development Center to secure another location in
the County.
Sammons said the announcement of the Expo Center's sale comes at the best
possible time for his shows. The sale does not affect this year's Mid-Atlantic
Rod and Custom Car Show, and he noted that Motorsports '07 brochures have not
yet even been printed.
"Our first deadline for Motorsports exhibitor booth renewals is April 1, so we
have time to make new plans," said Sammons, who has organized the Motorsports
show for 21 years. "We are proceeding with the same time-table we always have,
and when we have a new site and floor plan confirmed for the show our loyal,
past exhibitors will have the first chance to select booth space.
"We will carefully consider all site options for 2007," continued Sammons. "The
Motorsports show has grown to be a huge event and we intend to make it even
better in the future."
An announcement of a new site for Motorsports 2007 is expected to be made in the
coming weeks.

VP Fuels have earned a reputation for superior power and consistency -- as is illustrated

choice for 30 consecutive years, a record unmatched by any other company in the industry.
Over the years we have worked with drivers, teams and tracks from all forms of
motorsports, said Jim Kelly, VP Regional Manager. Jeff Gordon, Brett Hearn,
Ricky Carmichael, Kenny Tremont, Tim McCreadie, Chub Frank, Ted Christopher, John Force,

including Atco (N.J.) Raceway, Lebanon Valley Dragway, Monadnock Speedway plus many
others. In addition their fuel rigs can be found at NHRA events as well as servicing Trans
Am and Toyota-Atlantic races at Montreal, Toronto and Cleveland.
Kelly continued, I couldnt be more enthused about our association with Lenny
and the Motorsports 2006 Show. Over the years weve watched the show outgrow the
Valley Forge Convention Center and become one of the premiere motorsports events in the
Northeast. Much like the show, VP Racing Fuels has continued to grow year after year,
outgrowing our old Chester, PA facility and now running the Delaware (Newark) facility at
full throttle. We appreciate all the support we have received over the years and are
looking forward to seeing everyone at the show.
VP Racing Fuels offers both leaded and unleaded racing fuels in bulk and drums as well as
Methanol and Nitromenthane. The highly respected company has their own fleet of trailer

FORT WASHINGTON, PA June 1, 2005 . . . Procrastinators beware! The very best show

Washington, PA Expo Center Jauary 13th through 15th, 2006, are going quickly.
More than 35% of the show space has already been booked and we are still more than
seven months from the show dates, said show manager Joe Pratt. We just hope
that those planning to participate in the 2006 show do not procrastinate too long. There
are good locations available right now.
Pit Pal Products of Zion, Illinois was one of the very first to sign up for the 2006 show.
They actually ran low on some inventory at the 2005 show and they plan to be back in 2006
well stocked for the show.
Atlantic Coast Trailer Sales in Charton, MA had one of their best shows in 2005 and have
booked their space for 2006 and are already gearing up for the show. The business,
operated by Dave Posocco, is very active in the industry.
Brad Creighton has also booked his same location for the 2006 show. This will be the ninth
year for Creightons A-1 Racing Products in Warminster, PA.
And Tommy Gale and his Gale Trailers (Elizabeth, PA) has become a fixture at the show and
even get involved as an associate sponsor of the show.
The list of companies signing up for the show is a whos who of the
industry, commented show producer Len Sammons. We are coming off the hugely
successful 20th anniversary show and we are anxious to keep the excitement and enthusiasm
going as we start our second 20 years.
More than 600 exhibit spaces are expected to be filled with everything imaginable in the
motorsports industry. The show covers close to 300,000 square feet of the Fort Washington,
PA Expo Center.
Exhibit space is filling quickly. 2005 exhibitors were given first opportunity to renew
their locations and now the remaining space is available on a first-come, first-serve
basis. Those wishing to obtain a show brochure or make arrangements for exhibit space
should be in touch with Joe Pratt at 609.888.3618 or email him at motorsportsinfo@aarn.com.

there are great marketing opportunities for businesses wishing to reap the rewards of
being involved with the successful show and the more than 40,000 people who will attend
during the three days. Sponsorship and marketing opportunities are available by contacting
Ernie Saxton Communications, Inc. at 215.752.7797 or email Esaxton144@aol.com. There are marketing and

TIME IS RUNNING SHORT TO RENEW BOOTH LOCATIONS FOR
MOTORSPORTS 2006
FORT WASHINGTON, PA April 24, 2005 . . . . Classic Enterprises of Pleasantville, NJ was
the first exhibitor from Motorsports 2005 to renew their booth location for the
Motorsports 2006 show taking place at the Fort Washington Expo Center, January 13th thru
15th, 2006.
The company, distributors of Vertex and Hunt Magnetos, was followed by Kirkey Racing
Fabrication, Tyson Race Tours, Irvin Smith Tools and Pocono Raceway just to name a few who
have renewed for the motorsports trade show.
Because the show, the 20th anniversary, was so successful we have had a large number
of exhibitors who have renewed the same locations. And there are many who want to make
changes in their locations, increase their exhibit area, and there are quite a few new
exhibitors anxious to sign up for show space, said show manager Joe Pratt.
Many of our exhibitors from the 2005 show reported record sales and they want to be
sure they are back in the same locations. All indications are that the show will be
another huge success and it is only April.
2005 exhibitors have received their show kits and are reminded that they must renew by
April 30th in order to be guaranteed the same locations. Once April 30th is gone all
the remaining exhibit space will be available on a first come, first served basis,
said Pratt. He can be reached at 609.888.3618 or email him at adman@aarn.com.
Again in 2006 the show will fill close to 300,000 square feet, all on one level of the
Fort Washington, PA Expo Center.
More than 600 exhibit spaces make up the show with 400 plus racing dealers offering just
about every imaginable in motorsports. Over 250 motorsports vehicles were on display
during the 2005 show and that number could be topped in 2006.
The show proves to be very popular with fans as they have the opportunity to meet and
collect autographs, at no charge, from many of the top names in the sport.
Exhibitors and show attendees are reminded to make their room reservations as early as
possible after May 15th to be guaranteed the show special rates are area hotels. Marilyn
Saxton can be reached at 215.752.2392 for room reservations.
Information on advertising in the show magazine can be had by contacting Steve Barrick at
908.782.9398.
Marketing and sponsorship opportunities are also available for the show, attracting more
than 40,000 people, by telephoning Ernie Saxton Communications, Inc. at 215.752.7797 or
email Esaxton144@aol.com.
