BRIGGS, JAMES J. JR.
On July 28, 2006, 'Jim' of Pine Hill, Age 80 years. Beloved
husband of the late Virginia 'Jeannie' (nee Williams) Briggs. Survived by his
daughters Jeane (Bob) Duppel of Williamstown, Susan (Mike) Brannigan of Pine
Hill, sons Jim (Sue) Briggs of Pine Hill, Bill (Michelle) Briggs of Pine Hill,
10 grandchildren, Bobby, Kelly, Jason, Tracey, Susie, Nikki, Michael, Brittany,
Alyssa, Amanda, 5 great grandchildren, Sara, Lori, Faith, Jason, Ava Jean,
brother Charles 'Bud' (Darlene) Briggs of Fla., sisters Josephine Bakshas of
Philadelphia, Joan Cassidy of VA., Alice (Charles) Buzby of AR., Donna (Tom)
McCouch of Pine Hill, Deanna Wright of Fla., sister in law Eleanor 'Bobs' Briggs
of Berlin, faithful companion 'Sam' and many loving nieces & nephews & cousins.
Jim was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran. He was the owner of Briggs Electrical and
Briggs Construction in Pine Hill, and was a member of the Rotary Club. Jim was
an avid bowler, and was a race car driver in the modified stock division.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday Evening
7pm-9pm and Tuesday Morning 9:30am to 10am followed by funeral services.

Jim Briggs, former owner and driver of the
X15 modified, passed away Friday morning (7/28).
"Pop" raced the Briggs Construction X15 out of Pine Hill, NJ for many years and
also
fielded racecars for Larry Taylor and his son, Billy Briggs. His
grandsons, Jason Duppel
and Mike Brannigan, currently race at Bridgeport and will continue to race on in
his memory.
This past spring, Jim celebrated his 80th birthday. It was standing room
only as Jim spent
the day enjoying the time with family and friends. Jim seemed to have a
great time, laughing,
hamming it up for the camera and dancing.
He will be greatly missed by all that came to know him. Our condolences to
the family of Mr. Briggs.
Rest in peace "Pop".
