MCR ENDS SEASON WITH BIGGEST NIGHT IN TRACK HISTORY!!!!

(E. Smethport PA)
McKean County Raceway has had some memorable races in its track's history.
Ever since the fairboard brought the track back to life in 1983, there has
been season ending specials throughout the 1980s and early 1990s in mid
September. For the past ten to fifteen years that tradition has not happen
till now! On Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30, the
management team of Ken Leet, Rod Biehler, Tom Gleason and Rich Yeager have
brought the fans the 1st annual MCR FALL CLASSIC featuring the Priority Care
RaceFan 50 that will pay $10,000 to the winner of the United Late Model
Series sanctioned event.

The weekend starts on Friday, September 30 with MCR CHAMPIONSHIP night.
With the Lias Tire, season championship night being canceled due to the
remnants of Hurricane Ernesto on Labor Day weekend, the best and only
available date turned out to be the evening before the FALL CLASSIC.

The points are very tight in three of the four divisions. Randy Hall
currently has a forty-point lead over Tim Schram in the Maynard Electric
Super Stocks. Hall sits comfortably in obtaining the division championship
in his rookie year in the full-bodied machines. Schram leads Steve Dixon by
three points as Jeff Cheesbro sits in fourth three points ahead of Jeremy
Wonderling. The Advantage Rental Sportsman division sees Greg Oakes leading
Hall by one point heading into the final event. Oakes has two wins compared
to Hall's six sportsman wins. Rich Michael sits twenty-five points back of
Oakes. Andy Michael leads the Coca-Cola Street Stocks point battle over
Justin Tatlow. Michael won the first three events of the year and has four
wins all together, while Tatlow as chipped away and sits eight points back
and as three wins going into the final double points race. The R&M Home and
Auto Mini Stocks are coming down to a family affair between the Bedell
brothers. Kyle Bedell currently has a two-point lead over his brother
Craig. Steve Mowery who has two championships already in 2006 racing season
sits eleven points back of Kyle Bedell. Those three drivers will be racing
down the wire for the track championship!

Friday night gates will open at 5PM and racing will start at 7PM. The super
Stocks, sportsman, street stocks and 4 cylinder mini stocks championship
feature races will be lined up by points. There will be no heat races. The
top 26 in points who show up will be eligible to race. You must have
competed at MCR this year to be eligible. Double Points will be awarded for
this race. Point Champions will be honored Saturday at 4:15 PM in front of
the grandstands. Open Practice after the races for a minimum of 2 hours up
to 10:30 PM will be held. Practice will rotate by class with Late Models
first with 10 Lap - 15 Car sessions will be held. This MAY be the only
practice/hot laps for the weekend. Hot laps on Saturday will be determined
by the condition of the track with the weather and time a big consideration.
Friday night grandstand adult admission will be $10, while Senior Citizen
and Youth 12-18 will be $8. Children under age of 12 will be admitted free.
Pit pass will be $25 or $45 for a both days.

On, Saturday, September 30th, McKean County Raceway will host the biggest
night in track history! The United Late Model Series will sanction the
Priority Care RaceFAN 50, which will see the winner going home with the
biggest payday in track history, TEN THOUSAND dollars to the winner! So far
this year at MCR, Bob Close, Todd Andrews, Dan Stone and Rob Blair have
scored ULMS wins. The BRP CanAm Series will have their makeup $1422 to win
Brock Young Memorial. This will also be the season point championship race
for both the ULMS late models and the BRP CanAm Series. The EMODS will make
their first ever appearance to MCR as they race for a $1000 payday. The
Street Stocks will race for $500 and the four cylinder mini stocks will go
for $250.
